A year from now...

Coming in 2013...
This Thanksgiving and Christmas break have been filled with so many wonderful and typical things. Seeing family... Traveling every which way... Eating a big dinner and then going out and playing sports in the yard (I tried to stay in the kitchen this year... But I did not last that long...)
For Thanksgiving we were able to travel from NOLA to Birmingham to My moms in ATL to my dads in ATL to Augusta back to Birmingham to Tuscaloosa to Gulfport and back home to NOLA. For Christmas I flew to ATL while Andrew drove, flew back to NOLA and finished a week of work, flew back to ATL for a few days, drove to Augusta, drove back to Atlanta, then drove back to NOLA... a lot of travel huh? But we really actually enjoy moving around all over the place!

This Thanksgiving and Christmas have me thinking about what will things be like a year from now. In a year hopefully
* we will have a healthy baby girl and be traveling as a family of 3
*Andrew will have graduated from seminary and will have a new job
*and quite possibly the job will have moved us somewhere in the US... Location right now completely unknown!

These are some pretty big and exciting changes to say the least. Next year we may not be able to travel us much, or do Black Friday shopping or even depending upon where we live we may not even be able to come see family at all! It is sad to think about that... But just as in all of these changes we are about to encounter I have to trust God. He may call us across the country to Portland, Oregon or to stay in NOLA or to come back to Georgia. Whatever change is to come we can rest assured that God never changes... He is faithful.

So as I think about a year from now, what it holds... changes and all... I do not worry but instead rest in the unchanging Father.

Goodbye 2012... Hello 2013... Excited to see what you bring!!!

27 and 28 weeks...

How far along?  28 weeks, really almost 29 weeks at this point...THIRD TRIMESTER!!! People have finally started to notice I am pregnant!  I am amazed how much my body has changed since Thanksgiving!
Total weight gain- I don't weight myself everyday, so I assume I am still somewhere around 15-20 pounds...
Baby Related Purchases-
Between our shower on the 23rd and Christmas... we have so much baby stuff.  We are soooooooo blessed!  We still don't have everything we need but I feel like we are getting close!  We got a petunia pickle bottom diaper bag, video monitor, boppy covers, hooded towels, wash clothes, children's books, nursery decorations, blankets, swaddle blankets, and LOTS of clothes.  I think we are going to have one well dressed little girl!
Diaper bag!

Some of the cloth diapers we plan on using...

We got children's books instead of cards... I love this!!!

Even the boppy has Bailey's name...

shelf of baby stuff!
Monogrammed smock and bloomers...
And there is more!!!
Stretch marks- nope
Movement- I have felt tons of movement, even some kicks and punches that make me jump!
What I miss- Still missing my normal clothes, and running.
Cravings- Nothing that stands out...
Anything making you queasy or sick- Sometimes after I eat I feel sick.
Gender- Girl!!!!! Check out our thoughts on our little girl :)
Labor- hopefully not until March... Less than 12 weeks until the due date!
Symptoms-
Worries- Like I said Bailey Drew has been moving all over the place, but there was a 2 day period where I could barely feel her move.  I was trying all the tricks to get her to move, and she would move, but not like she had been, or has been since.  She must have just moved somewhere where I couldn't feel her as much.  She is back to kickboxing though...
Best moments this week:
This past 2 weeks have been filled with wonderful moments!
*Christmas party with the kiddos at school
*Amazing shower in Atlanta (pictures to come!!!)
*Cookiefest

*Christmas with our families
*Lots of fun baby stuff
*Time to relax
Looking forward to...
*Getting the nursery set up... this is a work in progress
*Shower in New Orleans in about 3 weeks!
*Starting birthing classes
Size of baby- Chinese cabbage
What the baby is up to- (from babycenter.com)
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

26 Weeks...

How far along? 26, almost 27 weeks... almost in the 3rd trimester!
Total weight gain- somewhere around 15-20 pounds... it was exactly 18 pounds when I went to the doctor on Tuesday... I am going to keep clinging to the fact that she says the baby is big :)
Baby Related Purchases-
This cute snow leopard rocker that I have been obsessed with :).
When we realized they were not selling them anymore Andrew went and got the last one for me/Bailey for Christmas.  I was soooo excited :).  This definitely goes on the list of unnecessary things but fun!!!!
Stretch marks- nope
Movement- It is funny because some days I feel like she does not stop moving, and others I get worried because she has not moved enough.  But overall a lot of movement!  I am even getting woken up at night by the kicks!
What I miss- Fitting into some of my normal clothes. Many things still fit me, but a lot of my cute stuff... especially nicer things don't.  I have already expressed this, but the maternity options are just not the same and are ridiculously overpriced!
Cravings- Sweets, I think I could eat Christmas cookies all day long!!!
Anything making you queasy or sick- Sometimes after I eat I feel sick.
Gender- Girl!!!!! Check out our thoughts on our little girl :)
Labor- hopefully not until March... Less than 14 weeks until the due date!
Symptoms-
Worries- The days where she moves less makes me worried.. then she will have a day she moves a ton...
Best moments this week:
* Fun times a friend's wedding from college... so good to see sweet friends and catch up!
Looking forward to...
*Christmas break... 4 DAYS!!!!
*Shower in Atlanta on Sunday!
*Cookiefest on Sunday!
*Just seeing friends and family and having a chance to relax!
Size of baby-

an English hothouse cucumber... don't know what this is either...

What the baby is up to- (from babycenter.com)

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. And she's continuing to put on baby fat. She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.
