5 years...

Special addition of 5 on Friday… in light of our

5 Year Anniversary TODAY!

year one

We got married on January 10, 2009 and moved to Augusta, Georgia. Andrew worked with rocks and I taught (1st, 2nd and 3rd grade all within that year). In May, Andrew felt called to go to seminary and go into "full time ministry" ( as if there is another options) and started taking online classes at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Our first year was some serious adapting to post-college life!
Honeymoon:)

year two

2010- For the first half of year two we lived in Augusta. Then summer 2010 we moved to New Orleans (a place I said I would never live). Andrew continued his seminary at NOBTS and I started teaching 3rd grade at Luling Elementary. God really stretched us in our faith and our perspective of what it meant to have alive committed to ministry.

year three

2011… our first full year in NOLA.  As Andrew continued in school in and I in teaching we grew in our relationships, discipleship and ministry in New orleans.

year four

2012 brought another year in NOLA.  I feel like we really hit our stride in ministry and work… and really grew to love where we worked and did ministry.  We struggled through the lost of our first child through a miscarriage and were blessed with our second pregnancy!  We also went to Disney World/Universal :).

year five

2013 was all about ch-ch-ch-changes!  The birth of a beautiful daughter Bailey Drew.  Andrew graduated seminary.  Left work and ministry we have become attached to for the past three years.  A move to Statesboro and new jobs.

  5. Wow! I'm really glad to have found your blog. It isn't often that you find someone with such a parallel story in the blog world. My husband and I have been married for 10 years and our first 5 were much like yours: seminary, baby, moving, ministry, I taught school...etc. New follower--not stalker :) Happy Anniversary.
