GIVEAWAY!!! I am teaming up with The Sound of Hope, an awesome organization that raises both funds and awareness for orphans all over the world. Rusty and Erica are the heart behind sound of hope. Right now they work in Thailand, India, Burma and Swaziland to provide holistic care for orphans in hopes of breaking the cycle of poverty! One of the ways they do this is through an awesome shop. The products they sell are all handmade in each of these countries, handpicked by Erika (while shopping in local markets), and sold to support their work. And starting next week you will have a chance to win one of these awesome scarves from Thailand.
The "Key Lime" colored scarf we are giving away is light weight, so it is PERFECT for summer. It is not even in the store yet and we are getting to give one away!!!
Sooo… start checking out The Sound of Hope, and follow along, so next week you can enter to win!

Tomorrow, I am doing my very first educating booth at the local farmer's market. What am I educating people about you ask? Why cloth diapering of course! If you live close, please come support me (I really hope people actually come to my booth). If you aren't close, and you have questions about fluff (aka cloth diapers) please contact me… I love helping people learn about all the benefits of cloth diapering!

A girl and her dog… okay, so it is her grandparent's dog, but she loves him SOOO much. Seriously, arms shaking, running toward him while barking.
But you also have to check this picture out… they both may have gotten too excited! Don't worry she is okay… the picture looks worse than it is!

I am getting a haircut tomorrow for the first time in… 15 months. I know, very 6 weeks just doesn't happen in my life. the last time I got my hair cut was a month before BD was born. I was beginning to think I was just going to wait until just before we had our next baby (nope, not a pregnancy announcement). But, I got a gift certificate to a local spa and I thought, I should just do my yearly cut while I could get it for free. :)

We just visited Atlanta, Athens, and Augusta. I just want to share of few of BD with some of her favorite baby friends :)
|
BD put her arm around baby Jacob all by her self. When I say cheese, this is the face she makes… she is such a ham! |
"I'll pat your back, you pat mine." Neither seem to like it too much...
The first picture was over 6 months ago… same babies! Can we talk about what a difference 6 months makes (especially the first 6 months)?
If you have a minute I hope you will follow me!

If I lived close by, I would TOTALLY come to your cloth diaper presentation!! We're about to have our first little one, and we're using cloth diapers. Everyone thinks we're absolutely crazy, but it's going to save us SO much money (not to mention all of the other eco-friendly benefits).
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
That's awesome! If you ever have any questions as you get started feel free to be in touch! I love helping people get started with cloth!
DeleteI detest getting my hair cut so I often go a long time between cuts, too!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear I am not the only one! When I went they kept wanting me to book my next appointment.. and I had to tell them I get my hair cut like once a year!
DeleteYour little girl and the dog pictures are too much!! I go way too long between haircuts too. I don't trust anyone with scissors!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And I know… I actually have this irrational fear that if I cut my hair too much it won't grow back… lol!
DeleteWOW...your exhibit looks fantastic. Can't wait to see your hair!
ReplyDeleteThanks… it was really fun! And the hair, well it looks healthy, but not much different. I am not much of a risk taker when it comes to getting my hair cut! I wish I were.
DeleteWe cloth diaper! But, I am hating them right now because they are leaking. The bumgenius are the only ones not in the dog house.
ReplyDeleteThe dog pics are too cute, even the one where she is getting bowled over. I have two pups and my little girl, and my female dog does the same thing with her legs in the air on her back. Just a little too much fun sometimes.
Hooray for getting your hair cut! Good for you. It's been over a year for me, and that was when I did it myself out of postpartum hair frustration haha. It's definitely time for a professional.
Bum genius are our favorite! But I am sad you hate it. If you want to email me or message me via Facebook, I could help you figure out why they are leaking! I help other cloth diapering families on the side, and would love to see if I can help in any way!
DeleteLove kiddos and dogs… can''t wait until we actually have our own :)
And I am glad to hear I am not the only one who waits to get a hair cut… when I went they said I should be coming every 6-12 weeks (that's just not happening lol)!
So awesome that you're spreading the word about cloth diapering! I'm one of few people I know who do it and most of the other moms around me look at me like I'm crazy. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I LOVE to hear form other cloth diapering families. I am finding that the popularity for fluff is slowly growing!
DeleteA scarf giveaway for a great cause?! Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you post pictures of your fabulous new haircut! I'm lucky to get mine cut every 4/5 months and I'm a hair stylist! Ack!
Yep! You should come by Monday! It will go live then!
DeleteThat is awesome that you are a hair stylist! My hair looks healthier now, but mostly the same… I am kind of boring when jot come to my hair!
Oh my word, that picture of your cutie and the doggie are amazing!!!! I'm not going to lie, the last one is the cutest picture ever. I don't have any kiddos yet, but I do have a dog, and I can't wait for our someday-kiddos to grow up with her.
