BD at 4 weeks and J at 4 weeks. This is the picture that made me realize just how much J looks like his dad. Literally mini-Andrew. And these two- obviously siblings :)

Little sentimental this week… as all the recruitment fun is happening at schools around the country. I am so thankful to be a Zeta :). The opportunity to meet all different girls and to intentionally invest in each others lives… it is something that means a lot. I am amazed by the way that God used that time in my life and is still using it now to connect with different people and to pour into young women. It is also a lot of fun :)

I am not a name brand person at all. You will usually find me at the thrift store or garage sale (thus the name of the blog ;)). But these earrings. I was so tempered to get them the other week. But they fell into not a need and not in the budget so alas… another time :).
Four
Impromptu zoo trip… J slept the whole time and BD's favorite.
Things said by BD
*"I see all the animals."
*"I like to eat turkey"
*"I want to hold them, but they fly away!" (referring to the birds that keep pecking at her when she tries to catch them).
*"I LOVE merry-go-round" (seriously her favorite thing ever).

Last and certainly not least… what God has been teaching me lately. I have been reading through Proverbs 31:10-31
So many times people are under the misconception that a Biblical woman is a weak, floppy, does nothing for her self type. That just is not true. Take a few minutes to read and reflect on these verses and you will see that. I think I will be camping out in these 22 versus for the next week or so. And there will be more to share! :)
Love those verses! So great lessons there. Your kids are so adorable. Enjoy your weekend
ReplyDeleteThanks Keri! :)
DeleteI think you can get away with putting the earrings in the need column. Because Themis would approve of your color choice ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha… I was thinking the same thing :)
DeleteThese snapshots are so precious!! Hooray for a beautiful week filled with blessings and impromptu family fun and praise God for the gift of His Word!! xo - Brenda // Chatting Over Chocolate

We just got season passes, so hopefully we will be going often!
DeleteAwwwww you just brought me back to the good ole sorority days! I second that, those earrings especially on sale! They seriously would go with everything!
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to reminisce about the sorority days :) Maybe this next month I can get them… but I don't think they are on sale anymore :(
DeleteJ is SO cute!! Those lips and cheeks!
ReplyDeleteI bought those teal Kate Spade earrings on sale (and I never buy designer anything) and I'm super happy with them. Maybe you can save up a little for the next time they're on sale ;)
Have a great weekend, Stasia!
Thank you… we are clinging to every precious newborn moment!
DeleteThose earrings are so cute! I hear you on the "need vs. want" I am trying to get better with it. But darn, I always feel like it is a "need"! The babes are too cute! I have a little one and a toddler too. They always keep you busy!

DeleteAnd littles… definitely keeping me on my toes!
I'm not a big brand name person either but those earrings? Wow! So cute! My bday is coming up so I might have a last minute addition to the list! :)
ReplyDeletePicture # 1 was oh so precious, and those earrings are cute! :)
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful moments.
ReplyDeleteWe love the zoo - one of our favourite places to go!
Those earrings are gorgeous.
Proverbs 31 is one of my favourite chapters in the Bible. So much wisdom there.
Thanks for sharing (and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop).
Wishing you a lovely evening.
