Summer Bucket List... Update 3

Summer Bucket List 2013... Update 3

Well, really sumer has been over for us for a couple weeks now... here is the final list! :)

Set up new home

*pack up house in New Orleans

*drive/move to Statesburo (these first two may seem ridiculous, but they seem like a huge thing right now... I want to be able to cross them off the list :))
Moved in...

*set up living room
*set up kitchen
BEFORE

AFTER
*set up bedroom
*set up nursery
*set up bathroom
*set up office

Books to read

Multiply by Francis Chan
It is a book with a ton of scripture, one that you are meant to mull over, not speed through.  God is still using it in BIG ways... who knows, maybe I will use it in a Bible study in the fall.
* Shepherding a Child's Heart by Ted Tripp
Finished!  Andrew and I are doing a weekly study of this book and it has been really good.  I was interested in seeing what the rest of his ideas were so I read ahead :).  Now I can tell you that this is a book that people either love or hate because it includes... ahem, spanking.  Ted Tripp is a believer and he has a thorough explanation on when, where and how.  I think the book, especially the beginning is great to read no matter where you fall on the spectrum, it is convicting about not only addressing your child's heart, but also your own.
*When Helping Hurts by Steve Corbett and Brian Foikkert
The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian
*How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth by Gordon D. Fee and Douglas Stuart
I have started this one... pretty dense read so far... but great info.
*Ender's Game
Added this one later when I felt like reading a Hunger Games/Divergent like book... it was a fun easy read.

Things to do

* go to the beach at least once

*visit Andrews family in Alabama
*visit grandparents in Maryland
* visit grandparents in Ohio
So these things didn't happen... hopefully soon!!! :)

*go to Charleston
*go to Savannah
*yard/garage sale- put stuff on craigs list, taken stuff to consign and planning a garage sale in the fall
*back to running- Running the Savannah Rock N'Roll Half Marathon in November! Ran 6 miles last Saturday and going for 7 this Saturday!
*back to working out- I need some post pregnancy core strengthening workouts... anyone have any good ones???
*blog often... kind of...
*get better at computer stuffs this one is so vague... not really, but maybe this fall :)

What did you do this summer... what do you have left to get done this fall??? :)

I about half way through this one and it is really great, but I did not realize it was meant for a Bible study and not just as a individual read.  It is a book with a ton of scripture, one that you are meant to mull over, not speed through.  God is still using it in BIG ways... who knows, maybe I will use it in a Bible study in the fall.

*back to running- I was running consistantly before the move... but then things got CRAZY as we prepared and moved... I have been running off and on.
*back to working out-  for the first 20 days of May I did the 30 Day Shred... and then nothing...
