No Spend September: Why and Getting Started

Need to know What is a "No Spend Month?"  check out last week's post!

Maybe I should have started with the 4 weeks ago... I kind of did.  But beyond our personal goals I hope this changes our spending as a whole.  Maybe this coming month will make us realize we don't have to spend as much as we think we do! :)

ALSO... I find that it is oh so crucial to keep a Biblical perspective when dealing with all things money.  Want a great money study to do this coming month along the way?  Try this study, it is great!

No Spend September: Extra Credit

Need to know What is a "No Spend Month?"  check out last week's post!

Let me start by saying this... this month really isn't about "making" money... it is about not spending it.  But if you have the time and desire, you can use this month to "spend no money at all" if you do some side hustles to cover the limited expenses you have left.

So... plan it out

What can you do to make extra money this month?

Consign some clothes, sell on eBay or Facebook, garage sale, etc

What action steps do you need to take to do these things?

Make a plan to make these things happen including dates and times to get them done!

Creativity and Accountability

Its time to get creative friends! 

What are some free things you can do this month to keep you on track?

Generally speaking I don't suggest window-shopping, you usually buy something. Go to the park, attend a free concert, trade babysitting. Have a go to list ready of things you love to do that are free, so that when you are tempted to spend, you won't!

What are some ways you can remind yourself of your goal throughout the month?

Post at picture somewhere, pray about it each morning, research it, plan it.

It is time to find some accountability. 

Who will be your accountability partner this month? 

 Spouse, friend, mom, etc. 

How will you keep each other accountable?

Text, call, meet.  When and how often?
