Life lately...

one

I am so excited to announce a new venture and passion!  Starting at the end of this month, I am going to be sharing one story a week from friends and their adventure/struggles/stories in budgeting.
Budgeting, living with in our means, being good stewards of the money God has given us.  These are are all difficult things.  It is good to hear stories from others, relate and grow.  My first stories have been rolling in and I seriously can't wait to share them!
AND… if you have a story you would like to share, please please please email me (stasia08@gmail.com).  I would love to talk to you and put you on the schedule!

What we wore…

Pray first.

Something God has been laying on my heart (and a blog post I feel coming).
Before eating.
Before meeting.
Before talking with the hubs.
Before school.
Before all.  During all. After all.
Talk to God.
Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (emphasis added)

Other things to pray for this week?

  1. PRAY first for sure. My husband says you better PRAY over what you eat you never know what could be in the food this day and time.

  2. During pre-marital counseling our pastor said something along the lines that praying together is one of the most intimate things you can do as husband and wife. Ever since that meeting we have prayed every single night before dinner. i kind of love it as a new tradition we have started.

  3. I love the last point. So true! I need to work on praying first, and then taking a breath to listen. So often I pray, but the prayer ends up sounding like "God... here's what I'm thinking... concur?" and don't give Him a chance to respond/talk to my heart. I really appreciate the reminder heading in to this weekend. Thanks for linking up with us at H54F this week!

  4. I just created a periscope account and have zero clue. Looking for some blogposts that might shed a little light on using it. I definitely could do a little more praying first before making decisions. Thanks for the reminder!

  5. I'm excited about your budgeting series, Stasia. I think that is such a needed area of focus--especially for couples. It is often one of the main reasons I see couples in trouble. In fact, I was talking to a relative just the other day about these issues and she's trying desperately to make wise choices, while her hubby wants the best of everything. Little does he know that the best is really in managing what God has given you well. Also love the pics and your parting thoughts on prayer! Great stuff, my friend! Btw, your kiddos are too cute! :)

  6. I really enjoy ideas about the frugal life. They always give me ideas just when I thought I've pinched the penny all I can !!! Will look forward to more stories !!
