30 Days of Thankful...
Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
I left school today with a lot on the mind. Still a lot of work to do for the week, my formal observation tomorrow, it was already 5:30 and I was just leaving school. I got all the way to the interstate before I realized I left my jump drive at school... so I turned around. This would only take 5-10 minutes. Only when I turned on the road to school there was a train blocking my way. Boo. The train almost passed, then sat there, then backed up... the whole train process took about 15 minutes of precious time... and I was not even back to school yet. I sat there as the train passed, frustrated. I called Andrew to let him know I was going to be late, expressed my frustration, and like the wonderful husband he is he suggested me spend some time with the Lord.
That is when I thought of the verse above... rejoice always... pray without ceasing... in everything give thanks. The Lord led my heart to a place of thankfulness... how appropriate for this month of November. So for the month of November I will focus on one thing I am thankful for each day.
Day 1- I am thankful for the unexpected moments that I get to spend in intimacy with the Lord.
Every few days I will update the list!
What are you thankful for today? :)
