What We Wore… {Giveaway}

It is so fun sharing what the little one and I wear on a regular basis.  Especially because I love to show how you can be stylish and NOT spend a fortune on clothes.  I always say I am going to do what we wore posts more often and then forget.  Maybe this is a step in the right direction!

We are trying to embrace fall and stay cool considering it has been above 80 degrees this week!

The Little One

*Gap shirt purchased from a thrift store for $2 (love a bargain)
*Baby jeggings (a cloth diapering mama's best friend)
*Salt Water Sandals
*Pink Bow (otherwise she would look like cousin it)

The Bigger One ;)

*Simple Black Shirt from a local boutique
*Vest from Old Navy like 10,000 ago (okay, like 7 years ago… but still)
*Favorite pants ever from my Stitch Fix (worth the splurge… I only wear them like every other day)
*Salt Water Sandals

Got my hubby to snap the all up and half up styles...

AND… the awesome news is I am getting the chance to share one of these awesome Lilla Rose Hair-clips

First of all, Melody is the "keeper of the clips" and she is a mama to 4. She is the one that suggested me try these out and share them!

So let me tell you about the hair clip…
I am not going to lie, when Melody first came to me about the clip I was like, "Eh." I don't even wash my hair but once a week and almost never blow dry it, it would be wasted on me.  Plus I am just so simple… always just use a pony tail holder.
The very day Melody came to me I saw a friend wearing the clip!  So I asked- do you like it?  is it worth it? And the answer was a resounding yes!  She said it was so easy and did not leave a mark in your hair.  If you know me, you probably know I was sold at easy!

So I got my clip and tried it out for a month or so…
This one is super simple… just my style!
And I have loved it.  I just either throw it in my hair in the morning or throw it in my purse so that I can wear my hair up later in the day if I so desire!

Besides the ease and cuteness of these, one of the biggest selling points for me is the fact that they support a fellow mama.  :)

Want to win one of you very own?  Please enter here :)

Want to buy one fore yourself… or for Christmas presents… this is a great deal!

Have you tried Lilla Rose Hair Clips?  Which Style do you like best?

The Sound of Hope.. GIVEAWAY :)

In my 65 in 365, one of our yearly goals was to fund an adoption.  As we have thought and prayed more through this, we have realized that we want to fund adoptions and support orphans all over the world.  On my 5 on Friday this past week, I introduced y'all to this awesome organization… The Sound of Hope.  Rusty and Ericka started this organization, that raises funds and awareness for orphans and vulnerable children around the world.  Andrew and I are just starting to explore the possibilities in supporting them!

One way is to simply donate… and you can do so on their website.  But, they also offer another really cool option.  They sell items that Ericka handpicks in local markets of Thailand, Burma, Swaziland and India.  The proceeds from these items help them provide protection, rescue and care to orphans in these countries.  Cool right?  Just think, you could shop at birthdays and Christmas and be seeking justice at the same time.

Soooooo... I am so excited to share with y'all that Ericka has a special item hand picked for our giveaway today!  It is a lightweight key lime scarf made in Thailand.
This awesome scarf could be yours! The second picture shows the color you would win!
This would be a great piece to wear this summer! Just follow The Sound of Hope and Our Life on a Budget in the places below to enter! :)
